As a new employee you are going to be required to learn a lot of information which is going to take a great deal of time and effort. We cannot stress enough how important it is that you begin your studying the day you step on the property, and to continue to do so till qualification and beyond. How far does lever move?

Not at all

Lever moves over

Mechanically locked. Check route:  switch, signal & traffic levers.

Is green eye lit?

 

Yes

Yes but signal in field more restrictive than normal

Are all track circuits in?

No

 

Yes

Trouble shoot track circuit.

Is next signal displayed?

No

 

Yes

Pull off that signal.

Write down route

Is L or R light on model 14 lit?

No

 

Yes

Reset Lever - (TS)

 

If reset doesn’t work.

Is screw release normal?

No

Normal screw release

Is panel blocking on?

Yes

Turn off panel blocking

Try signal on a punch

Signal comes in
